Auto Capitalise issue

Hi all, this problem is quite a small one but very annoying. when i am in
Outllook or Word the auto capitalisation does not work for the letter I, when
used in the middle of a sentance on its own it stays as 'i' instead of being
changed to 'I'

any ideas, its a brand new installation of office 2007?

thanks

I am using Office 2003 so I am not sure if this will be applicable to you or
not, or if the menus are the same (Office 2007 has messed around with
everything a lot), but check the following:

From Word, select Tools/AutoCorrect Options and the AutoCorrect tab.
Check that the "Replace text as you type" option is selected.
If it is already selected, then type a single 'i' into the replace dialogue
box just below the selection and check if the 'replace i with I' is present
in the table below it. If not, then add it.

Hope this helps.

Martin
