Auto-capitalize

I have turned off the option to automatically capitalize the first word of a
sentence, and it does so in normal paragraphs. But in table cells, Word
still insists on putting in the leading capital. How can I fix this?

In Word 2004, the "smart button" that appears when this happens gives
you an option to turn this feature off. That's the only way to do it, as
far as I know. (And once it's turned off, there's no way to turn it back
on again either.) m.

Hi Tim,

Please always post your OS and Office/Word version numbers! In this case,
if you're in Word X, you're out of luck; but Word 2004 allows you to correct
this behavior. The auto-correction "smart button" in Word 2004 gives you
the option to stop this behavior in table cells. (Note that we have not
been able to find any way to turn it back on!!)
