Auto complete date

Hi there,
What could I be missing here.
I want the date to auto complete as I type.
When I type Octo Word automatically completes "October"...but when I hit
Enter, it does not complete the date.
I think I have everything turned on for auto complete. I did turn off smart
tags. I'm using Office 2003
Any help appreciated.

Star,

That feature is fickle. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I
don't think anyone has determined why it behaves that way.

I use a date stamp macro assigned to a keyboard shortcut ALT+Shift+D

Sub DateStamp()

Selection.InsertDateTime DateTimeFormat:="MMMM dd, yyyy",
InsertAsField:=False

End Sub
