Auto complete suggesting misspelled phrases

I have an end user who wants to use the auto complete function in Outlook
2003. She misspelled the word "health" as "helath" and now every time she
attempts to type the word it suggests the misspelled version.

I have gone into the custom.dic and deleted the misspelled word. But,
Outlook still suggests the old spelling. I have created a new dictionary and
copied everything over in a text format to the new dictionary with the
exception of "helath". The app persists in suggesting the misspelled version.

Has anyone else seen this, or do they know the answer to this question. Any
help would be much appreciated. Thanks for your help.

This has nothing to do with the autocorrect feature.
This is the autocompletion feature.
Remove individual addresses from the autocompletion cache by highlighting
the entry when presented in the suggested names list (use your arrow key to
migrate to the entry) and then hitting your Delete key before you tab out of
the field. To clear the entire cache, follow the instructions here:

did you restart outlook after removing it from the custom dic? is it
automatically changing the spelling or underlining it and offering the other
word?
