Auto Correct for Spell Check not Working

In Word 2007, the spell check feature is not working either by review or auto
correct, although the grammar correct feature is. I've run diagnostics,
downloaded updates, checked the appropriate boxes in word options and still
it doesn't work. What else can I try?

You could try the "change" feature in Add/Remove programs in Control Panel
and then the "Repair Office Installation" choice.

Hi Scott,
Thank you for trying to help me with this problem. I did try the "Repair
Office Installation" option in the Add/Remove Programs before I posted my
question. I exhausted all the possibilities within my range of knowledge.
What did work for me was to go to the Word Options in Word>Add-Ins >Manage
(Selct disabled items). In that list, i found that the English dictionary
had been disabled. I decided to enable it and the spell check was working!
