Word 2007 ---- How do I turn off auto correct within text if I don't want one
particular word to expand but don't want to turn off the auto correct feature
completely?

In the AutoCorrect dialog box, just delete the specific entry.

To open the dialog box: Click the Office button, and then click Word
Options. In the Proofing category, click AutoCorrect Options. Click the
AutoCorrect tab.

For individual instances, you can press Ctrl+Z (Undo) after the correction
to Undo it.
