auto corrector in hot mail

My auto corrector keeps correcting the emails I type in French, repeating the same suggested correction as many as three times even though I change the language on the Microsoft welcoming page.

Posting solution so that it helps others.

To turn off spell checking in IE10
Tools, Manage addons, left side
remove the tick next to "enable Spell checking"
close/save

For Firefox
Tools, options, advanced tab,browsing,
remove the tick from "check my spelling"
OK

For Google chrome
Gear, settings, show advanced settings, language & spell checker settings
Remove the tick from "enable spell checking"
OK
