Auto Delete of Non-Recurring Events

With Entourage 2004 Mac Ver 11.3.3 (061214) and Mac OS X Ver 10.4.10
with the Preferences set to delete non-recurring events after 1 week,
the events are not deleting. I do sync to my Palm using Missing Sync
5.1.2.

Any suggestions.

Answered my own question I think.

I have been syncing my Palm quite regularly the past few months, often
not going more that two or three days without syncing. Deletion of
non-recurring events was set to more than a week old. I tried setting
delete to 1 day and advancing my computers clock by one day so that the
last sync was at lest three days ago. Opening and closing Entourage,
resetting the clock and then opening Entourage again shows that all of
the non-recurring events have been deleted. I'm guessing that Entourage
uses the date of event entry, not the calendar date for the event, to
determine whether it is more than xx days/weeks etc old and that
syncing must reset the Entourage data base time stamp on when the event
was entered.

It my Sync software was set to sync, not overwrite. It would seem that
