Auto Dial Generates Error: Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 299456

This knowledge base article does not give a 'real' work around.

Is there a work around.

I just went to the trouble of installing a modem on my PC to do auto
dial to keep track in the journal and now it won't work.

I'm using a Dell Precision 340, PCI Modem (Lucen Microelectronics |LT
WinModem and Windows 2000 Professional.

It's such a simple thing to dial a number with a modem I can't belive
that there isn't a work around.

I solved the problem. All I did was open the Phone Dialer program
(Accessories->Communication) and select the modem for telephone calls
and the option was available in the Dialing Options dialog via
Contacts.New Call.
