AUTO FILL

When using the autofill function, why does Excel modify the date? I
have a column with a check number, the check amount, and the check
date. I need to use the autofill function so that each invoice has that
same information. Thanks

Then autofill isn't what you really want. If you want the same information
in each, enter it into the first record, copy it, select all the cells in
the rest of the records, and hit Paste. The same values should paste into
the cells.
