Auto format feature is gray

When I try to use the Auto correct feature under Proofing in Microsoft
Outlook 2007, the Auto format and Auto format as you type tabs are gray, and
I can't get into them. How can I access them?

Do you have Word 2007 installed also? These features come from Word, and the
versions of the programs must match.
