Auto-Format styles

Hello,
When designing forms, Access provides a set of pre-defined auto-format
styles (Blends, Blueprint, Expedition, Sumi Painting, etc). I would like to
find out if A) each of these styles are represented by specific file sets (a
la Windows' Themes), and B) one can get a hold of additional styles that
other people have developed (which would presume that there is also a way to
incorporate them into Access to be available in the same list as the others).
Any guidance on this would be mightily appreaciated.

I have never seen anyone offer a set of these but you can make your own
easily enough. Just create a form that has one of every control plus a
header and footer if your forms typically use headers and footers. With the
form in design view, choose Autoformat from the Format menu. Click the
Options button to see the additional options and then click customize which
will allow you to save your format. This format will be available on all
databases created on your own PC. What I do is keep a db that only has my
form/report formats and when I want to make a new one, I make it in that
database so I can keep track of them easier.

Thanks. I sort of figure that as a possibility. As you know, making
something look nice (color balance and design) has more to do with having an
artistic eye than knowing what buttons to click. I can click the buttons
alright, but to come up with a design that is different from, but has the
same visual quality as say, the Expedition auto-format style or one of the
others, well that's definitely not in my repertoire of gifts (wish it was,
though--I wouldn't be looking around for something to "mimic"). In any case,
thanks for the suggestion. Worst case, I'll try it and find that I HAVE the
gift and just didn't know it!
