Auto format telephone numbers?

I have Outlook 2003 installed on 3 computers (2 desktops & 1 laptop). When
creating a new contact I type in the phone numbers without separators (i.e.
6041234567) and Outlook automatically formats them when I tab to the next
field (i.e. (604) 123-4567).

This works on my desktop computers but not on my laptop for some reason.
The laptop installation leaves the number in the same format that I type it.
I've checked the Outlook Options and the Regional Settings in Control Panel,
but can't find anything that fixes this problem. Any ideas?

If anyone's interested, I figured this one out for myself. It turns out that
the formatting of telephone numbers in Outlook is dependent on the region
that is set up in the Phone and Modem Options settings (Control Panel).

Once I set up my dialling location, the formatting took care of itself.
