Auto Formatting on Open

Need some advice. I have a .csv file that is exported from
a DB2 app and is auto-opened by Excel. File is never the
same. Current spreadsheet that opens is not formatted and
hard to read. Is there a way to auto apply a template or
macro when the file is opened?

Currently have formatting macro recorded, but I would need
to distribute it to work group, and I cannot locate where
it is stored (personal workbook?). Anyone have any ideas
here?

many thanks in advance.

You could give the users a workbook that contains the importing/reformatting
macro.

Then tell them to open that workbook first and click on Tools|macro|macros...
and run your macro.

And I'd rename that .csv file to .txt.

Excel macros like that much better.

In fact, you could drop a giant button on a worksheet and assign it to that
macro. Then they could avoid the Tools|Macro|macros... dialog.
