Auto generated Table of Contents displays page numbers incorrectly

Hi, for the beginning of my document, I wanted to use i, ii, iii, iv as page
numbers. No problem. But when I update Table of Contents - it changes numbers
to I, II, III and IV. Help! Thanks!

Thanks, Stefan, for a quick reply. I did choose that format in the Page
Number format dialog box. It doesn't matter whether I use i, ii, iii... or a,
b, c - the Table of Contents reflects I, II, III... or A, B, C. I thought it
might be an autocorrect somewhere but I have searched all that I could find.

Did you modify the TOC styles to include uppercase (or small caps)
formatting? If so, it will reflect on the page numbers too.

Since the TOC styles, by default, are set to automatically update, it
might be sufficient to select the whole TOC, and then clear the "Small
caps" and "All caps" options in the Format | Font dialog box.
If this doesn't work for you, you can modify the TOC styles directly
(see http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/styles/ModifyAStyle.html).

FWIW, I find that the automatic updating on TOC styles works well for
paragraph formatting but less well for font formatting.

Yes, but it would still be worth trying. Believe it or not, but I
actually got it to work once. <g>

Hi, Stefan! I am sorry that I did not have the time to try your suggested
solution sooner but when I did, IT WORKED! Thank you so much! I am doing an
accreditation study for a school and it will make it more professional!
Thanks again!
