Auto Index or TOC

A 60 page document with 3 to 5 titles per page needs an index or TOC. The
document and the titles are in a standard font (10 point) but the titles
are in bold capitals. Is there a way to 'auto index' the titles without
resort to manual selection? Thank you for any and all assistance.

Dan, to autogenerate a TOC, you need to apply heading styles. That's
what Word looks at. If you are using Word XP, put your cursor in one
of the title. Open the Task Pane to the Formatting section. Put your
mouse over the information at the top of the TP that shows you what
formatting you have and choose select all instances then apply a
heading style that you've modified to look the way you want. Then
insert a TOC and it'll work. (Insert, References, Index & Table,
