Auto-length dotted line

I think I'm going nuts. In my memory I could swear that I was able to
insert a dotted line in a manually created TOC after a Heading with only a
key combination - which resulted in the Heading being Left Alligned and the
Number I could then add being Right Alligned and a dotted line filling the
distance between. Is my memory playing tricks on me? Did I dream this?

You have received a reply to your similar post in another forum. The key
combination you're looking for is Tab (after setting a right-aligned tab
with a period leader).

Tom,

You are remember a right aligned tab stop set at the
right margin with a dot leader. Click Format>Tabs and
may it will jog your memory.

I don't know if that is how I did it before but it works (you knew that).
Thank you. I can stop pulling my hair out now!
