Auto MS Office updates similar to XP O/S Updates

D

David Elliott

Would it be possible to have Office updates auto downloaded in the same way
as XP O/S updates - i appreciate it is difficult because of the different
versions of office that are in use; but if a compnay registers the version of
Office they are using then the downloads could be tailored to their
requirements.

I have a nightmare having to just keep 20 PCs updated , nevermind how bigger
organisations keep their versions of MS Office updated.

Can anyone help or provide a solution?

Hi David,

There are a couple of options available to you depending
on your approach to updating. If you're using the
http://officeupdate.com check and download service now
for example you can switch to Office 2003 and Windows updates
being automatically available by opting in to that service at
http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate

Other choices may depend on how you choose to deploy Office
