Auto numbering within paragraphs

Is it possible to insert A, B, C etc. within paragraphs so they are
automatically corrected when you move the paragraphs. I want to number
Exhibits in a Affidavit as Exhibit "A", Exihibit "B" etc and be able to move
them around and have them renumber. There was a simple macro to do this is
Wordperfect but I can't figure it out in Word.

I assume you use Fields, but when I tried Field AutoNum none of the default
numbers were correct. Anyhow have any ideas?
