Auto Numbering

Hello!

Is it possible to add an auto numbering system to a word
document, so that each time the document template is
filled in, it will automatically add a number? This is a
for a form, which will be printed as well as saved to a
file. And I am a absolute VBA beginner, I need a very
simple explanation if possible...
