auto Out of Office

Can Outlook have an option to automatically enable Out Of Office replies if
any appointments in the calendar are marked as Out of Office or Vacation etc

Not natively. You might check at http://www.slipstick.com and see if they
have any 3rd party utilities that will do it.

Also Exchange 2007 will provide the ability to set up an out of office message in advance, to start and stop on specific dates.
