Auto Pagination Error

I am working in Office/Word X in Mac OS X.3.2. I am working with a
large (164p) word doc containg small low res graphics files. I am
trying to copy and paste information from another file that has over
50 pages and every time I do this Word repaginates and if it finishes
it will read that I have over 10,000 pages or it will crash. I have no
issue in NORMAL LAYOUT however I need to be working with these
graphics files. I am unable to turn on auto-pagination. Can you offer
any additional solutions or let me know if I am pushing Word's limit
with this kind of document. Thanks for your help. - Jedeikin

Hi Jonathan:

Word's "limit" is about 5,000 pages in a document, so it's not that :)

The "paginate forever" bug is either a damaged table or a damaged section
break. Save the document as a web page (note: Web Page, not "web Page
(Filtered)), cloose it, then re-open the web page version and save it under
a new name.

If it gets through that without crashing, it will have fixed the document.
Expect the save to take a very long time, and make sure you have lots of
memory available to Word (by quitting other applications) while you do it,
or it *will* crash.

If it can't save to web page, then Search on http://www.word.mvps for an
article named "corrupt document" and follow the instructions for
decorrupting a document in that article.

Cheers
