Auto Purge Deleted Items?

D

DanielWalters6

Hi, a few questions I have.

I don't normally use Outlook 03, but I have been recently.

I use my email account accross several computers so I'm using IMAP not pop3.

On my other IMAP client, When I click DELETE on a message it deletes it from
my Inbox and places within my Deleted Items (For that IMAP account)

When I delete a message within outlook 03 it just puts a line through it,
and I have to click purge deleted items from the edit menu, before they are
removed from the server.

Is there a way to stop this happening? I don't want to see my deleted items,
but would like them to be placed within my deleted items folder so that I can
then access them when I've syncronised with my other computers.

Thank's for any help

Go into email settings for the IMAP account, and on the general tab there's
an option to purge automatically when switching folders when online...

look on the edit menu when a folder is selected. Outlook 2003 has fewer
options for purging than 2007 (which does autopurge) and I forget it can do.
