auto recovery

I'm using Off 97 and I can't set the save autorecovery past 1 minute in word.
If I uncheck the box it cones back to 1 min the next time i open word

That's rather strange. I'm sure you've tried it multiple
times. The only thing I can think of is to reinstall
office/word and see if that works. sorry i can't be more
help.
