Auto reply rules not working

Have gone through all the steps described for Outlook 2003 to (a) have msgs
sent to a specific folder and (b) have replies sent automatically, but it's
not working -- messages to go my general inbox and the sender doesn't receive
a reply. What am I doing wrong?

Trying to set up an auto response to a specific group of incoming emails
(identified by the "subject" field of their emails) to acknowledge receipt of
their email, AND want to move those emails into a specific subfolder of my
inbox. I have several different accounts set up in Outlook, and have
specified the account that those replies will be coming to (and replied to
from, if that makes sense). I'm using MS Outlook 2003, SP2.

State your EXACT rule.

It's set up as:

"Apply this rule after the message arrives with [subject] in the subject and
on this machine only

Reply using [path where the auto reply text is stored]

and move it to the [folder name in inbox] folder"

I haven't had any luck getting it to reply OR to move it to the proper folder.
