When I open the dbase it opens to a designated form with a message, as the
message is being displayed I would like to run a macro that append some table
and close Access by using quit.
I can get the macro to run and close the program but I cannot get the form
displayed. I just get a blue screen. Any simple suggestions that I can apply?

Thanks

Your macro that runs when you open the database should just open the desired
form. Then use the form's Timer event to run your append query after waiting
say five seconds (5000 milliseconds), and then close the form. Use the
form's Close event to close the application.

I know there would be an easy way.
That worked fine. I just learned the time function in the form.

Thank you
