I set up auto save on shared workbook , but it does'nt work

Please explain how you did this and what you expect to occur.

What version of Excel are you running that you believe has an "autosave"
function?

I went to tool and I create a shared workbook , for 5 users, every one
update this workbook, and I set up auto save by going to tools option save
evry one minute but it doesn't work. I want to set up also beep when one of
us update the workbook .

You haven't stated what version of Excel you are using.

Versions later than 2000 do not have an "autosave" feature.

Autorecovery from Tools>Options>Save is it. This is not the same as Autosave
which made true incremental saves at intervals and alerted you before saving.

Autorecovery just saves a temporary file which it deletes if Excel closes
normally without incident.

BTW.....Dave Peterson reports that he tried an earlier version of Autosave.xla
in XL2002 and it seemed to work fine.

I have also tried the Autosave.XLA from XL97 on 2002 and 2003 and does the job.

In addition to the above......Jan Karel Pieterse has an addin called AutoSafe
which also doen't alert before saving.

It doesn't overwrite the existing workbook when it saves. It saves to a user
selectable folder. And when it's done, it either deletes these backups (or
puts them in the recycle bin). And the user can always restore the backups
from the recycle bin.

I am sory I forget to tell that I have excell 3000 version.
so how I can have auto save like the old version , because I want to made
true incremental saves at intervals and alerted me before saving?

Excel 3000 does not exist.
