Auto Setting of Highest Priority on Email

I am getting a Highest priority setting on certain email that I am receiving
and I am looking for details about what and why. I am sending email to a
group contact which contains a contact for me. The group contact and my
contact are associated with a project, and I am considering that this detail
has to do with the priority setting.

Neither the outgoing email nor the sent email show any notice of the
priority setting. Thus I assume the setting is not showing on recipient
computers.
Is this a correct statement?

Why is the received email being marked with a highest priority setting and
what control have I over this?
