Auto spacing words

Hello Folks
Am using Win Xp and Office 2003.
Please can you tell me if it is possible to use the tab key (or some other
way) to automatically have a 2cm gap between words regardless of how short or
long each word is.
eg. apple (2cm gap) orange (2cm gap) pineapple (2cm gap) plum etc.
Pressing the space bar about 30 times seems a bit long winded.

Your help and always has been very much appreciated.
Thanking you in anticipation.

Hello Don
Thanks for replying, but wouldn't that give me extra spaces between each
character.
e.g. a p p l e

I am trying to get just the 2cm gap between each word and with normal
spacing between each letter.
Is this at all possible?

Hello Mary
Thanks, but this is not quite what I am after.
I have already tried this way, but it is dependant on how long each word is
and gives a different spacing if a longer word is included.

eg. How do I get a 2cm gap between each of these words
a (gap) bb (gap) ccc (gap) dddd (gap) eeeee (gap) ffffff (gap) etc.
Thanks for your help.

Create a textbox exactly 2cm, right-click, format text box, text box tab, type
zero margins. Type in some letters using your choice of font and font size into
the text box until you get exactly 2cm of words or numbers or symbols, color the
text white, copy. After you type a word paste.

Hello Mary
I did think about doing something along those lines, but hoped against hope
that there would be an easier and more user friendly way.
I guess other users are going to struggle a bit.
Thank you for your time and effort. It really is appreciated.
Many thanks to Don also.
