auto start outlook 2003

I have a laptop on the network that automatically start Outlook 2003 every
time the user logs on. I checked the StartUp menu under his logon and under
the All Users. I even checked the registry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and there is
no entry for Outlook. Is there some other setting that will cause Outlook to
automatically start? This is an inconvenience for the user when he is not
connected to our network.

It is not recommended, but you can put a shortcut in the All Programs,
Startup folder. A better way is to add an Outlook shortcut to the Quick
Launch bar for quick access after everything else has loaded. When Outlook is
started automatically, it sometime loads too soon in the boot order and
doesn't work properly.

Good News!

You didn't read what Raymond wrote did you?

Check all those locations mentioned.
Do other users get the same thing when they log in?

Also check scheduled tasks.

Are there any other applications that are automatically started but rely on
Outlook to function? For instance fax software? If so these appliaction will
trigger the start of Outlook.
