Auto tab for data entry

I've created a form where teachers enter student grades, attendance, comment
codes. I've restricted the type of data that can be input, but I would like
to have the cursor automatically jump to the next field once the maximum # of
characters have be input. I did this once before, with the help of a
colleague (both he and the form are no longer available). As I recall it was
very simple - something had to be set in the properties - but I can't make
this work. Any suggestions?

I believe there is an AutoTab property.

Yes - turning on the autotab in properties was one of the first things I
tried - but it still doesn't work. Where am I going wrong?
