auto tab to next cell

I would like to create a table w/ cells that tab to next cell after
typing a specified number of characters. In the alteranative a field
would be ok as long as it auto tabbed to next field after typing the
specified number of characters. In fact I could use both features in
the form I am attempting to design. Thank you in advance for your help.

Sorry: We can't do either of those in Mac Word.

The closest you can get is a Userform. These enable you to add fields that
can contain macro code that will validate the content of the field.
Regrettably, "Fixed Length" is not an option. The closest you can come is
to count the number of characters on exit from the form and prompt the user
if there are too many.
