Auto Text and Auto Correct

AutoCorrect is "turned on" by default... just type the letters "teh" then
press the spacebar to see them transposed to "the". If it doesn't happen or
if you have any doubt about the status of its other features hit the Office
Button to Word Options - Proofing, then click the AutoCorrect Options
button.

As for AutoText, it's on by default as well but handled in a different
manner - If you're looking for the AutoComplete Tips to appear as in
previous versions you're out of luck. You might start with this link to Word
