I am using Word 2003 on Windows XP. I need to input some information in my
footer through the Auto Text Fill In menu, info such as Page of Page and
Path &file name, Date, etc. The pull-down menu that had all of these
available inserts is completely empty. How can I ressurect this feature?

Thanks

Possibly you've overwritten the Normal.dot template with a
regular document? Close Word, and rename your Normal.dot
template as described in
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/BlankDocNotBlank.htm . Start
Word, and try to insert an autotext. If it works, you can copy
your customizations from the old normal.dot to the new one by
using the Organizer tool as described in the aforementioned article.
