Auto Text Instrt of filename and path inserts spurious charachters

In two copies of Word 2003, SP3 when using Instert,
Autotext, File name and Path we get the file name gets
inserted, but the path is usually a number 1 with lots of
space then another 1.

I've run Repair, and have regenerated a new normal.dot.

Other copies in the office work fine.

Any one know?

Could be a damaged normal.dot file. Try renaming it as described in
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/ProbsOpeningWord.htm. If this fixes
the problem, then you can copy your customizations from the old
normal.dot to the new normal.dot by clicking on Tools | Templates and
Add-ins | Organizer.

Thannks, but as I said in the post I had tried that. Still

You might want to try *all* the troubleshooting steps suggested in that
article.
