Auto Text Not Working At All!

edI know that Auto Text is suppose to work after typing in four characters,
you should get a tip, right? I'm not getting that. When I start to type in
the current date, nothing, I don't get a suggestion to enter the current date
or anything else. I've check all of the boxes in the auto text options, etc.,
and still nothing. I have a call in to our technology folks, but found this
forum. Hopefully, someone will know what I'm missing. thanks!

The four characters must be unique. If there are two AutoText entries whose
names begin with the same four letters, then you'll have to type more than
four letters before you get the AutoComplete tip.

It doesn't matter what I type in or how many characters, I don't get the auto
text tip, at all for anything.

And you do have the box for "Show AutoComplete tips" checked in the AutoText
dialog? Do you have ScreenTips enabled on the View tab of Tools | Options?
