Auto text update fields

M

Matt

I'm looking for a way to type information into a text
form field and then have that same field of information
transfer into another location automatically (after
typing it in the first field) in another section of the
document. I.e an address in the heading - to copy in the
body in another section on another page.

Any clues? I appreciate the help to allow me to work
less and get paid the same.

Every text form field has a built-in bookmark (by default they're Text1,
Text2, etc., in order of creation, but you can change them though the Form
Field Options dialog). Anywhere else in the document you can create a
cross-reference to the content of that bookmark. To ensure that the
cross-reference will be updated automatically, check the box for "Calculate
on exit" in the Form Field Options.

Form fields store their content in bookmarks - typically Text1, Text2 etc by
default. You can reproduce the content of this bookmark by means of a REF
field in the document. Check the form field property 'calculate on exit' to
ensure the REF field is updated.
