Auto Text Will not work

I was working on a document, that I have to type in a person's name over
several times in different places. I always use auto text. All of a sudden
auto text just quits working. I start typing in the name or phrase (and it
does appear in my auto text), but it does not work on the document. I've had
this problem before, but for the life of me can't figure out how I corrected
it. I have clicked on Show AutoComplete Suggestions, which is always checked,
to no avail. I've also gone to AutoCorrect and everything there is checked
also. Help! I use this feature constantly and need it back. This is for Word
2003.

This can happen if Normal.dot becomes corrupted. It can also happen if the
registry setting that tells Word that AutoComplete is turned on is damaged.

Does the F3 method work? Or, is it broken too?
