Auto Text

[Auto Text Troubles]

In Word the "Autp Text" function is not working corretly. Only 3 items appear.
I did a "Repair" form the install CD and now NONE of the AutoText works.
How can I get "Auto Text" to function correct.

Did you happen to recreated your Normal.dot by saving a Word document
as Normal.dot? If so, therein lies the problem. Only Word can create
Normal.dot with all of the built-in AutoText entries. To correct it,
rename your Normal.dot and allow Word to create a new one for you.
Once it's created you can transfer any customizations you may have out
of your renamed Normal.dot to your new one using the Organizer found
under Tools/Templates and Add-ins.

I created a new template with new standard font and formatting plus my
prefered toolbars and renamed it to normal.dot after remaning microsoft's to
origional.dot.

How can I get microsoft's normal.dot to accept my prefered font and
formatting setup?

I suspected as much. All you need to do is rename Original.dot
back to Normal.dot and open it in Word and make your changes.
