Auto Text

in Word 2003 there was autotext..type a few words and hit return to insert
regularly used text. Is there the same in 2007. Can only find building
blocks which are not as convenient.

AutoText is a type of Building Blocks. AutoComplete is no longer supported
for AutoText/Building Blocks, but you can type the name of an entry and then
press F3 to insert it.

Alternatively, make use of AutoCorrect instead (note that you can create
*formatted* AutoCorrect entries which can store not only formatted text but
tables, text boxes, and so on).

The autocomplete function (apart from dates) is missing. You could
investigate autocorrect instead or you could type the first few unique
characters of the autotext name and press F3 to insert.

There are AutoText building blocks, but AutoComplete is no more. You can
type the name of the entry (or the first few letters of it) and press F3 to
insert.
