auto-update field

I have 1 field called product. What I need to make ia a
macro that when I leave this field it will automatically
update another field (that has {REF product}).
I'm a complete newbie in word macro!
How do I get this thing to work? Is there a better way?

the better way is to bookmark over the field and refer to the bookmark
text with an x-ref field.
