Auto update of schedule from team members updates in PWA

We are using Project 2002. How can you force team member updates to
automatically update the project schedule. We have turned on the option that
suppose to allow this to happen however, it is not working.

You can't. The project manager can create Rules on the Updates page in PWA
to quickly update actuals into projects, but the PM must be at least
minimally involved by clicking the Run Rules Now button to actually run the
rules. Hope this helps.
