Autoarchive Entourage

I am attempting to set up the autoarchive script on Entourage 2004 in tiger
(10.4.11), and I have received an error message: Microsoft Entourage got an
error: Can't get message id 62632.

Does anyone know how to address this issue?

Thanks!

It could be a database corruption.
Did you try rebuilding the identity? (press the Option key down as you
launch Entourage).

Yes. This is the script that I am running, but I'm getting the error message
in my original post. Do you know how to locate which message is causing the
problem (I have the message id)?

Yes, I've done this, and it doesn't fix the problem.

Do you know how to locate the message by it's ID?

Do you know how to locate the message by it's ID?

No. AFAIK there is no way to find the exact message by ID.

Run the script to export as MBOX files. When the script runs it makes a
folder on you desktop named Entourage Archives. After you start the script,
go to the Finder and click on the folder so you can watch it create the MBOX
files of your folders. The script will fail on the folder with corruption.
Note the last folder that was created.

[Note also open the Activity Monitor while the script is running. The
Microsoft Database daemon will be active. When it goes back to normal, you
know the script has stopped running.]

Once you know where the first folder is that has a problem message, divide
the folder in half and manually drag each subfolder to the desktop. This
will fail if the folder contains a corrupted message. Often you have to make
several subfolders to get to the corrupt message. When you narrow it down to
a small number, you drag out individual messages. Often it will show up OK
in Entourage but will fail to drag as an individual message. Sometimes it
will even drag out, but will open as corrupted data. Delete the bad message.
Then start the MBOX script again until you get out all folders as MBOX
files. If this is successful, try the autoarchive script again.

Can you tell me how to run the script to export as MBOX files? I have no
idea how to do this. Thanks.

Place the script in the Script Menu Items folder. Select the script.

The identity was corrupted but now the script doesn't run at all. Any
ideas?

Thanks.

Open the script in the Apple Script Editor. Click on the Events tab and
then click the Run button.
You should then be able to follow what the script is doing in real time
(and see errors, etc).
Any information you can gather from there??
