Outlook 2003, OS=XP sp2 (No Exchange, all messages on my hard drive) No
network admin - just me.
A while ago when the automatic archive notification popped up I selected not
to be reminded by placing a check in the don't remind me box (as I recall).
When I choose to Autoarchive, I choose to "Archive according to their
Autoarchive settings" but items in my Do Not archive folders were archived.
(Even if I neglected to select the top Autoarchive option I never checked the
box saying "Include items with 'Do Not AutoArchive' checked". ) What could I
be doing wrong?
Basically, I want to get rid of all old deleted items after 2 weeks and old
sent items after 6 months to keep Outlook running smoothly. All my inbox
folders say Do Not archive. I'd prefer this be done automatically but I can
easy autoarchive periodically. What I don't understand is how any of the
Inbox messages ended up in the archives.
Thanks,
