Autoarchiving, can not find files

Hello

I have autoarchiving configured correctly (meaning its enabled...sends to a
designated folder etc). I have a very extensive inbox consisting of hundreds
of subfolders. I have noticed recently that my inbox files that get
autoarchived do not appear in their archive folder counter part. This does
not happen with all my files, it only happens with a few. My archived .pst
file is stored on a network drive, and is rather large. I was curious if
anyone had experienced a problem similar to this.

Also is it possible to search the entire archived file? I was thinking
maybe something went wonky and it was storing files in the wrong location.
Thanks,

You can easily find out what file you're archiving to:

Tools > Options > Other > click the AutoArchive button - the filepath is
displayed there.

What version of Outlook do you use?

First, PSTs on network drives are unsupported and can lead to data loss.
Think long and hard about the value of anything you keep in a
network-attached PST.

What version of Outlook are you using, what is the size of the archive PST,
and how many items are in the destination folder when an item doesn't seem
to make it?

Any PST, no matter how many folders it contains, is a single file. The
items in it are not separate files, but entries within the one PST file.

Open the archive PST and use the Advanced Find feature to scan the folders
in the archive PST for the item.
