AutoCAD to Visio

Used to be able to use IntelliCAD to edit the embedded object. I don't
think that it works in the latest versions of Visio.

You probably need to edit the file externally now.

Actually I had my husband play with Visio while I did as well. He found the
answer. Import the .dwg, right-click, CAD document (?), convert. When I did
that, it exploded the drawing into something I can edit. Now I just need for
the guys who created the spec that we have to find the AutoCAD drawing they
used. I think my task was easier.

Is there a file format that can be used to edit an AutoCAD drawing in
Visio? Even if it exploded it into little bitty segments.
