I managed to get it working for new Excel 2003 sessions but then I get no

I would suggest the vast majority of people would not want it turned off
ever, and there are enough people that have a problem with it switching to
manual when they don't want it to as it is.

It takes only a few seconds to switch to manual though, so what exactly are
you having a problem with:-

Tools / Options / Calculation Tab / Tick Manual and hit OK?

The problem is that I want to to be turned of permanently when Excel start up.
This is a little bit complicated at the moment.

I am using Excel for monte carlo simulations in an Investement bank for
pricing exotic derivatives.
