autocapitalize after ellipses

Is there any way to get Entourage to *not* automatically capitalize
words after ellipses? I have them entered as an exception in
autocorrect, and it works correctly in Word, but not in Entourage.
That is, if I write:
"sentence in which... items have been omitted."
Word leaves it as-is, but Entourage automatically capitalizes the "i" in
"items"; interestingly, if I put a space after "which," Entourage leaves
the "i" alone.

Or after abbreviations...

Or after abbreviations...

There is an exception list in Tools:Autocorrect where you can enter
abbreviations to auto-capitalization. It doesn't seem to work with ellipses
though. In any case, press Cmd-z immediately after an auto-correct to revert
it.

Thanks for both.

In that particular sentence, you are not using an ellipsis, but simply three
periods.

Try using the 'real' ellipsis - option-semicolon.

It's the difference between this... And thisŠ see what I mean? Check the
second one, it's only one character, and the following word is not
capitalised.

Due to incompatible character sets this method produces an
unintelligible character on a Windows machine.

For email this renders the method basically unusable unless I know I'm
sending to a Macintosh user.
