Autocomplete (can't find nk2 file)

Confounded Chris

I read the thread started on 3/31/05 by "Sparky Marky" and seem to be having
the same issue, being that whenever I restart Outlook, my "autocomplete
cache" is depleted and I have to begin repopulating it all over again. This
is extremely frustrating, as the autocomplete feature is SO helpful and it is
typically how I address my emails, rather than searching through my ENORMOUS
address book every time. The thing is, I can't find my nk2 file to check to
see if it has the same name as my user profile (which is the solution,
right?). My "enable hidden files and folders" box is checked. With or
without Outlook open, I can't find it. What gives?

I've had this problem ever since I upgraded from 2000 to 2003, but only now
has the frustration caused me to scour the help pages for a solution.
Please Advise.

No. That's not the solution.
The solution is to create a new profile. Yours is corrupt of it is not
creating an NK2 file and you actually have autocompletion enabled.

You should always make a new profile when you upgrade, especially from 2000
to 2003 - it solves a lot of problems.
