Autocomplete is not working - how do I fix it?

Hi. I upgraded my 2003 copy of office to 2007. I got the address book to
transfer over but the autocomplete function isnt working. I have the box that
says "suggest names" checked so I thought that would work. Anything that I
would need to do to make this work? It works on my other computer that We got
with office 2007 so I'm not sure why it wont with this one??

No you didn't, because Outlook's Address Book doesn't contain anything. Your
Contacts folder, however, does. The Address Book is just a view of the
COntacts folder.

Why do you believe it's not working? The AutoCompletion feature does not
reference your contacts in any way whatsoever. It's simply a memory of the
most recent 2,000 addresses to which you've sent mail, regardless of whether
those address are in your Contacts or not. A new mail profile with a new
autocompletion file will take some time to build up a list of addresses. You
could transfer your old list from the other PC if you want, though. See this:
